Rusty's Rig:
Rusty is a big fan of class A tube amps. If it doesn't have prestage and output tubes through the signal path he won't use it.
"I need the response a total tube amp gives to my attack. Solid state amps respond differently and I just can't get what I want from them. It's gotta be all tube for me to fly."

Current Amps:
Reverend Kingsnake with 2 x 12 jensen speakers built into a custom
road rack case by JR Sound of Burton, MI. It's on wheels and has
front and back lids so the rig stays wired and you just plug in and go.
There's also a 2 space rack above the amp for a tuner and wireless
receiver and a slot below the speakers to store a pedalboard.
          VOX AC30
Black Heart "Little Giant" a very nice 5watt boutique amp. Primarily
used for warm up and recording but is capable of keeping up with the
band in small venues and true to all great tube amps it sounds best
on 10 but at 3 or 5 watts it won't blow the house down!

Current Guitars:
2005 American Fender Strat with noiseless pickups
1979 Les Paul "Pro" Custom with a P-90 in the neck position and an
original PAF in the bridge position. "This is one of the last Kalamazoo
Les Pauls and it has a very special voodoo. One of the heaviest Pauls
I've ever played. I'd say this ones my baby."
1975 Gibson Explorer with humbuckers. "I use this one for slide
guitar and certain songs like Last Days of Whitey Malone. It's got a
fat tone and plays like a dream. I stripped all the lacquer off years ago
because I hated the way it felt when sweat got on it from playing. I
just rubbed a little oil on it and engraved my Dragon Sun emblem on it
with my own two hands. All my guitars that become family have a
special mark placed on them by me. It's my way of putting a little bit
          of my mojo on them."

Current Accessories:
Crybaby Wah, modified for extreme sweep cycle
          Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9
          Boss Rotary speaker simulator
Custom "DO IT" pedal. A very secret one of a kind pedal built by Ron
Luczak of Luczak guitars. It's the only one in existence.
Ernie Ball Stereo Pan pedal. I use this to crossfade between the
          Kingsnake and the Vox amps.
Deltalab 1024 Effectron. Used for certain doubler effects and analog
          delay effects.
